The New York Alliance for Pedestrian Safety is one of New York City's leading voices for the rights of the millions of residents and visitors that take to the City's streets and parks.
Although pedestrians are traditionally a silent majority, NYAPS recognizes the increasing sophistication, organization and financial backing of advocates for motor vehicles and bicycles. Our goal is to reassert the importance of pedestrian rights and ensure that the needs of pedestrians are represented by our own, dedicated advocates.
